!@#$%^&

Meet Su Lin

Meet Su Lin. She is a female giant panda born at the San Diego Zoo on August 2, 2005. She is the third cub born to Bai Yun (her momma). Her name — one of five options in an online poll — means "a little bit of something very cute" in Chinese. Hmm... Sounds familiar? Alright.. we share the same name *wink*. Now she is 2 years old. Here are more of her pictures. Like me, she also loves to camwhore! Haha.

Look at that face.. How adorable! Damn. She really knows how to pose!

She just had her birthday last August. Look at her going for her "cake". Yummy! It even had her name sculpted on her cake. Talk about celebrity panda!

Anyway these are some of the results of being too free with nothing better to do than to Google up your name or even Wikipedia it. You might be surprised at your findings. I've tried my name. Pretty cute stuff.

The Apartment

The Apartment was FUN. Nice place I would say. New hang-out place at The Curve. Cosy place, great decor, nice ambience. Drinking and dining in an apartment like concept. We started out seated at the "porch" (outside) because of limited seats. Unsatisfied, we ask for a transfer inside to the "dining table". Not even 5 minutes we were seated there, we spotted another cooler place, nice little corner for us, which is the "bedroom" seating. Finally happy with our place, we ordered =)

Their menu is kinda clever. A bit cheap though, because all they use was graph papers! Yeah graph papers, clipped together on a hard-board and ta-da! I had Pink Margarita and we ordered the cheese platter because it looked oh-so-tempting on the menu. And oh we also sneaked in Big Apples' amazingly delicious donuts. Yummy!

We had a great time. Supposed we had to get back by 11pm because UPM closes at 12am. Otherwise we'll be locked out! After a couple of drinks and hoo-haas in The Apartment, we overshot time. So we thought, since we already passed the curfew so why not we hang-out longer? Great, let's catch a late night movie then! Woo hoo... Unianimously it was decided, Bourne Ultimatum it is! No regrets on that pick. Hehe. With looks that could kill, Matt Damon can shoot me anytime =P

And guess where we slept that night? Not a hotel mind you. More like an abandoned house! Haha. No lah.. It's was Hawa's "abandoned" house. They were moving out. So her house was empty with few unpacked stuffs. We were practically sneaking inside her house, afraid that people may find out because supposedly, her house should be empty. There were still beds, mattress and all. With that and a mosquito net, we make do. Felt like an episode of "Survivor". Anyway it was a great girls night out. None of it possible of some whinning boys were to follow (no offence, Arif!). So yay, GIRLS RULE!

Chocolate is the answer!

Who da heck cares what the question is?!? Chocolate is the answer... Especially chocolate brownies! Gosh... Can I like marry him already? He bakes excellent brownies! Not to mention scones... Baked to perfection!

Simply mmmmmmmarvelous!

Sigh... He's probably taken already. Speaks French, cooks, bakes, funny, has a dog, tall, well-built, has voice that can melt hearts of women. I mean seriously, Hawa never even seen this guy in person but already she has a crush on him! Reality check: guys like that don't usually roam freely or singly. Unless he's gay! Sigh. Perfect ones are always either taken or gay. Bummer.

And I don't care if Adrian Seet is "gay" or just gay-ish. He's still a nice guy to talk to. Interesting enough to get to know better. I mean he can talk lah... Not to mention such a pretty boy. I still remember the brief chat we had by the elevator. More like pep-talk, because apparently at that time I seemed "uptight" (I was more like frustrated actually), so he told me to loosen up and stuff. LOL. Well from what I hear, he can be quite a diva. Well I guess that's for me to find out when I see him again. That, if I do see him again lah...

Oh the perks on my job! That is.. meeting people. Well you meet all sorts of people from all walks of live. Fellow journalists, famous people, not so famous people, ministers, IJN patient/nurse/worker, tea lady and a cute broadcast engineer at office (*wink*wink*). Very life enriching. Recently saw Paul Choo of The Star at an event. Seen him around (gee.. how to NOT notice? Such a cutie ^_^) Yune knows him, so we always gossip and exchange juices about him. A Penangite, rated as one of the best looking reporter of The Star newsdesk! Hehe. Didn't speak to him though. I was too shy lah.. Plus he doesn't smile (I wonder why ah?). We just exhanged gazes. I caught him checking out my media tag! He must be wondering which press I was from. *grin*

Camp5

Wall climbing is so kewl. I've always wanted to do it and finally I tried it for the first time at Camp5. For first timers like me, we were recommended to try out the Taster Session. 45 bucks for an hour to try out the walls, with some guide from the marshalls. Not much gained but at least get to try it out. Plus the place is just so chun. Camp5 one of the biggest wall climbing gym is Asia. Boy it was BIG. Can't help feeling a little intimmidated by the heights and giantness of the walls. *gulp*

This is me getting ready for my first wall climbing (notice sombody lying on the ground~died already ah???). As usual, camwhore first!

Yay reached the top! Feels great! My arms hurts though...

As a whole the wall climbing experience was awesome. I would definitely want to do it again. However have to sign up for Basic Wall Climbing Course. Quite pricey and have to find time to do so. But still would love to do it again!
Wall climbing anybody???
